The biggest war? The Peloponnesian comes to mind...between Athens and Sparta, and concerning Pericles' funeral oration, I think that war was the biggest, in terms of death. There's a book published by Pengin Classics, "Histroy of the Peloponnesian War" written by Thucydides.

War is unnecessary. Interesting to read about, but if you see the suffereing it caused- it's not favorable at all. See how pathetic Sparta seems at times- it was succesful, but saddening. But i admit- War is an interesting subject, and very interesting to read about.
